Case User Assignments
The User Assignments tab shows which staff members are assigned to functional roles on a case (Case Manager, Negotiator, Appearing Attorney, etc.).
View assignments
- Open a case from Cases.
- Click the User Assignments tab.
- Each row shows role, assignee name, contact info, and status.
Use the search box to filter assignments by name or role.
Add an assignment (org admin only)
Only Organization Admins can add, edit, or remove case user assignments.
- On the User Assignments tab, click Add assignment (or Assign user).
- Select the functional role (e.g., Case Manager, Negotiator).
- Search for and select the user.
- Confirm to save.
Alternatively, use the manual assign modal for bulk or advanced assignment.
Edit an assignment
- Find the assignment row.
- Click Edit (pencil icon).
- Change the role or assignee.
- Save.
Remove an assignment
- Click Remove (trash icon) on the assignment row.
- Confirm removal.
Functional roles
Functional roles describe what someone does on the case, not their portal login role. Available roles include:
- Case Manager
- Negotiator
- Appearing Attorney
- Drafting Attorney
- E-Filing
- Intake
- Hearings
- Supervising Attorney
- Litigation Attorney
- And others

Click the copy icon next to an assignee's email or phone to copy to clipboard.
