Attorney User Guide
Attorney Users (attorney_user) are assignment-scoped attorneys. You see cases and hearings you are assigned to, with a narrower portal footprint than full org or vendor users.
Your access
As an attorney user you can:
- View Cases you are assigned to
- View Hearings for your assigned cases
- Add notes and files on assigned cases (when permitted)
- View case details and related information
You cannot:
- Access Consent to Communicate (CTC) — this area is hidden for attorney_user roles
- Access Higbee org features: Intake, Offers, Approvals, Tasks, Vendors
- Manage users or HATS configuration
- Assign hearing attorneys (org staff only)
info
CTC is restricted because attorney users operate on assignment scope; CTC workflows are handled by org or vendor staff.

Need CTC or broader access?
Contact your Organization Admin if you need CTC, intake, or approval access. Your role may need to change from attorney_user to org_user or vendor_user.
